Thanks, Ryan.

From our team working on the epi model: It is a fair question and we have a slide in one of our decks that we presented to the Ministry about things we think are important but we don’t have data on. This is one of those pillars. Unfortunately we don’t have any data on what proportion of infections are related to direct droplet contact (i.e. wouldn’t be prevented with hand washing, but could be prevented with effective masks) vs what is contracted from surface contamination (i.e. could be prevented with sanitation and hygiene). The washdata.org site seems to only have data on proportion of households which don’t have access to clean water, soap, etc.

From our team working on the risk model: We talked a lot about incorporating some of this data but were concerned with the stagnant nature and age of it — Most reports we had access to were 2015–2017 and there was no high frequency way to tell if this situation has changed since. However, Fraym has provided us with some data that did some modeling down to the square km that we are going to take a look at and see if its worth putting into a v2 of our model. Thanks again!
